Pastor Rick, can you give us three reasons...

        ... why it is so important for us to be extraordinarily faithful to God in the day we are living? I am so glad you asked!

The first reason and, to me, the most obvious reason to be faithful to God in an extreme way is that Jesus Christ is getting ready to split that eastern sky and gather together those whose hearts are on Him.  Matthew 24:37‑42 (NKJV) says “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” The key is He is coming and we must be ready!

The second reason is connected to the first, and should be a wakeup call for all of us. When Jesus comes back we do not want to be lukewarm but we want to be fervently serving the Lord with all our hearts. Revelation 3:14‑16 (NKJV) says  "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Jesus is coming back and He is coming back for an on fire Church! Is that you?

The third reason is tied to the other two: Since Jesus is coming back so soon and knowing that He will vomit us out of His mouth if we are not on fire for Him, we should make it our aim to share Christ with everyone. Mark 16:15 (NKJV) says “And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”  If we truly believe He is coming, if we are filled with His power, then, we should be leading others to Christ with great passion.
